What we do with your email
This page covers the newsletter signup forms on SunMoonOcean — the one on the home page and the ones under the gift guides and free printables. It is written in plain English because you should not need a lawyer to work out what happens to your address.
What we collect
Two things, and only when you type your address into a signup form and submit it.
Your email address, so that we can send you the weekly email. That is the reason the form exists and it is the only thing we do with it.
Which page the signup came from — the home page, the guides, or the printables. It is a one-word label attached to your signup, and it tells us which part of the site is actually worth writing more of. It is not a browsing history and it does not follow you around the site.
That is the whole record. We do not ask for your name, your child's name, your postal address, or anyone's age, and there is nowhere on this site to give them to us.
What we do not collect from children
The newsletter is written for grown-ups and the signup forms are meant for grown-ups. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
The parts of this site a child actually sits down with — the Learn activities and the games — have no signup form on them at all. No email box, no name, no login, nothing for a child to type in and send us. The free printables download to your device without asking for anything either; signing up is an optional extra, never a gate.
If you think a child has entered an email address anyway, use the unsubscribe link in any email we have sent and the address comes off the list. If you would rather it was deleted outright, email sunmoonoceantoys@gmail.com and we will remove it.
How to unsubscribe
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, no questions, no “are you sure?” page. You come off the list straight away and we stop emailing you.
You never have to sign up in the first place to use this site. Every printable, every guide, and every Learn activity is free and one click away whether you join the newsletter or not.
How to reach us
Email sunmoonoceantoys@gmail.com. That address is for anything to do with your data: asking what we hold, correcting it, chasing an unsubscribe that did not work, or asking us to delete your address outright.
Tell us the email address you want us to act on and what you want done with it. A deletion request removes the address from our list altogether rather than just marking it unsubscribed, and you do not have to be a subscriber, or give a reason, to ask.
